Growing with Insight

Our approach to education requires continuous improvement to meet the challenges of an unpredictable future in a world that is undergoing accelerating change. Our educators have a duty of trust however; they need to differentiate between real improvements from simply "doing things differently". We make no presumptions about the "best" approach to education. We aim to support all approaches and enable educators to implement incremental improvements based on sound information and judgement.
The worst pain a man can suffer: to have insight into much, and power over nothing: Herodotus

Life Wide Learning

Education starts at home and in school, but our fast-changing world means that it doesn't end here. By adopting open standards and enabling secure information exchanges between authorised educational organisations we aim to facilitate the exchange of information about an individual's education between schools, universities and any organisation involved in developing that individual's potential.
Education is the kindling of a flame, not the filling of a vessel: Socrates

Flexible Growth

As the world changes faster and the future becomes less predictable, we need to be agile in adapting to new circumstances and the demands these make on a persons knowledge, understanding and abilities. Yunoo aims to empower educators to adapt their methods and approaches incrementally on a timely basis.
The strongest principle of growth lies in the human choice: George Eliot

Trust

Yunoo was inspired by the desire to contribute to a world in which our young people achieve their maximum potential. It was formed as a joint venture between the Netherlands' most renowned educational company and a technology company with a history of using open source technology to enable educational improvement. Our desire is to create a situation in which educators are not constrained from implementing improvement because they rely on out-dated, legacy systems. Our challenge is to produce a system without lock-ins that is only used because it is the best. This is our sole motivation and we'd love to discuss and convince you of this.
